Terms & Conditions
By booking with Rims Events & Party Rentals, you agree to the following terms and conditions which govern the rental and use of all our equipment, including marquees, furniture, linens, tableware, kitchenware, and related services.
1. Booking & Payment
- A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure and reserve your booking.
- The remaining balance is due 5 days before delivery or setup unless otherwise agreed.
- Payments can be made via bank transfer, card, or other approved methods.
2. Delivery & Collection
- Standard delivery includes drop-off and collection to ground-floor locations with easy access.
- Delivery charges apply based on location and order size.
- Any obstacles (stairs, long carry, restricted access) must be disclosed in advance and may incur additional fees.
- Delivery and collection times are scheduled in advance. Additional charges may apply for delays or out-of-hours service.
3. Client Responsibilities
- The client must ensure there is clear, safe access for delivery and collection.
- Items must be stored securely during the hire period.
- All rented equipment remains the property of Rims Events & Party Rentals at all times.
4. Use of Equipment
- Equipment is to be used only for its intended purpose.
- Items must not be altered, tampered with, or used in a way that could cause damage or injury.
- No open flames, heaters, or fireworks are permitted under or near marquees without prior written consent.
5. Loss, Damage & Liability
- The client is responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of hired equipment during the hire period.
- Damaged or missing items will be charged at full replacement cost.
- Rims Events & Party Rentals is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage caused by misuse of our equipment or arising from circumstances beyond our control (e.g. extreme weather).
6. Cleaning & Return of Items
- Please refer to our separate Cleaning & Washing Up Policy for instructions regarding glassware, dinnerware, and cutlery.
- Linen must be returned free of food debris and dry. Do not attempt to wash linens yourself.
- Items must be packed in the original containers/crates provided.
7. Marquee Hire Specifics
- Clients are responsible for ensuring the setup area is flat, level, and free from obstructions (including underground utilities).
- Marquees are weather-resistant but not stormproof. We reserve the right to cancel or modify marquee setups in unsafe conditions.
- No decorations, fixings or adhesives are to be applied to marquees without prior approval.
8. Cancellations & Changes

Cancellations made:
- 7–30 days before the event: 70% of total hire fee refunded.
- Less than 7 days before the event: No refund.
- Changes to orders are subject to availability and must be confirmed at least 5 days before delivery.
9. Force Majeure
Rims Events & Party Rentals shall not be held liable for failure to fulfil any obligation due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to: extreme weather, natural disasters, strikes, pandemic restrictions, or transport disruptions.
10. Agreement
By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
